Overview:
Participants learn applications of GIS for local and regional government and participate in a discussion of topics often dealt with by local governments, including transportation issues, zoning and land use planning, environmental analysis, demographic trending and the use of GIS for smart growth initiatives. Gain experience by working case studies and hands-on exercises that illustrate process and reinforce concepts.

This course is part of the GIS Professional Certificate and the GIS Technical Certificate.
Who Should Attend?
Anyone working in urban planning and development who needs to apply geospatial tools.
Prerequisites:
Successful completion of two GIS core courses.
