Home / GRADUATE SCHOOL USA AWARDED FIVE-YEAR CUSTOMER SERVICE CONTRACT BY THE STATE OF MARYLAND
Posted on Oct 12, 2017
The State of Maryland has awarded Graduate School USA (GSUSA) a contract in support of their master Customer Service Training and Process Improvement Consultation Services program. The GSUSA contract is for the period 2017 to 2022 and has an annual value of approximately $2.5.M.
This contract is the result of an effort initiated by Maryland Governor Larry Hogan’s administration to improve customer service across all levels of the Maryland State Government. The Department of Budget & Management's (DBM) master contract for Customer Service Training and Process Improvement Consultation Services is available for all Maryland state agencies to use.
State agencies contract on a competitive task order basis with providers such as GSUSA that have been awarded contracts. The State determined that Graduate School USA’s Customer Service Excellence course directly mapped to the training requirements for this program.
“Graduate School USA has supported the workforce development needs of federal, state and local governments for more than 95 years,” said Al Tyree, GSUSA’s Vice President of Business Development. He added that “The State of Maryland Customer Service Contract is a natural extension of our mission to support today’s workforce with the professional training and development they need to enhance their performance, advance in their careers and achieve the State’s Customer Service mission.
We look forward to partnering with the State of Maryland to provide training in support this critical initiative.” Services may be required for an entire agency, a specific program or other component of an agency, or a contract being performed for an agency or component program. DBM awarded contracts to 19 providers that were qualified to perform customer service training and process improvement consultation services.
This award marks a significant step into state and local government markets as GSUSA expands it reach beyond the federal sector.
