Want to know how to get the results you need at work without formal authority? Join Young Government Leaders (YGL) for an interactive session, “Leading Without Authority” on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at Graduate School USA’s DC campus – 600 Maryland Avenue, SW (conveniently located at the L’efant Plaza Metro station)

Today’s leaders must leverage effective influencing skills, personal power, and credibility in order to sway colleagues and senior officials. These skills are already within each of us and simply need to be uncovered. In this session, participants will:

• Learn the dynamics of influence • Develop the necessary tools to exert influence more effectively independent of title and organizational position • Examine the complexity of power in the workplace • Discover how to wield expert and referent power to achieve organizational goals

For over 95 years, Graduate School USA has been training the federal workforce to achieve their career goals and their agency’s mission. YGL’s mission is to educate, inspire and transform the current and future leaders of government. Making Graduate School USA the perfect location to learn how to exert influence more effectively independent of title and organizational position.
