Between April 16 and May 7, Graduate School USA’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) team will administer a project titled “Towards a More Safe and Secure World: International Peace and Security.” The School’s International Institute is one of six agencies that works on this large initiative supported by the U.S. Department of State and involving over fifty participants from different countries. In addition to visiting Washington, DC, our group of eight participants will travel to Minneapolis, MN; San Diego, CA; and New York, NY; where they will participate in the Global Cooperation Conference.

The “Towards a More Safe and Secure World” project focuses on cooperative efforts among national and international agencies to combat criminal operations, and develop policy. The group will be meeting with officials at all levels, including State Department personnel, local law enforcement, border patrol, and federal officers.
