## Overview

The AI for Federal HR Bootcamp prepares human resources professionals to use artificial intelligence confidently and responsibly across the full range of federal HR work. Through five integrated courses, participants build a shared foundation in how AI works, what it can and cannot reliably do, and how to apply human judgment to ensure fairness, accuracy, and compliance. The program moves from core AI concepts and federal AI-use policy through hands-on application in position classification, talent acquisition and development, employee relations, employee benefits, and retirement planning.

Throughout the bootcamp, participants engage in hands-on, scenario-based exercises that emphasize crafting effective, PII-free prompts and verifying every AI output against authoritative federal sources such as OPM, TSP, SSA, and Medicare. The program grounds AI practice in the policies that govern responsible federal use, the ethical and privacy safeguards that protect employees and agencies, and the practical workflows that improve efficiency without compromising regulatory standards. By the end of the bootcamp, participants are prepared to integrate AI into federal HR practice transparently, collaboratively, and in full compliance with applicable guidance.

- Recognize when AI work should be supplemented by a specialist, benefits officer, or licensed professional.
