## Overview

Master advanced Civil 3D techniques used in professional surveying, transportation design, and land development with this self-paced course. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with alignments, profiles, parcels, corridors, grading groups, and pipe networks to produce construction-ready documentation while progressing at your own pace.

The course covers creating and managing survey points, parcels, and surface data, as well as developing alignments, profiles, and corridor models for roadway design. You’ll also subdivide land and label parcel geometry, design and annotate grading groups, pipe networks, and pressure systems, and build customized templates, label styles, and construction documents using Civil 3D tools.

## What you'll learn

- Organize and manage survey data by creating COGO points, point groups, and description key sets, and importing survey files to support accurate field-to-finish workflows
- Design and label land parcels using subdivision tools, site creation methods, parcel styles, and professional annotation practices
- Model terrain with TIN surfaces, conduct surface analysis, and apply surface labels to inform grading and site planning decisions
- Create road alignments and profiles for existing and proposed surfaces, including customized view windows and station labeling
- Build corridor models and intersections using assemblies and subassemblies, generate sample lines, and visualize roadway designs with 3D drive-throughs
- Develop grading plans and pipe networks using feature lines, grading groups, and pressure systems, while customizing styles and layout sheets for construction documentation
