## Overview

This advanced course is designed for experienced contracting professionals preparing to serve as contingency contracting officers (CCOs) in complex, joint, and combined operational environments. Building on foundational contingency contracting knowledge, this course develops advanced capabilities in theater contracting leadership, complex contract management, and operational decision-making under austere conditions. Participants examine theater-level acquisition strategy, LOGCAP and systems support contract administration, contractor personnel (CAAF) management, and the coordination demands of interagency, host nation, and coalition contracting environments.

Throughout the course, participants engage in rigorous simulation exercises and case study analysis drawn from real contingency operations, applying advanced acquisition authorities, ethical standards, and fraud mitigation strategies in high-pressure scenarios. The program addresses legal and inspector general considerations, transition and closeout planning, and the professional discipline required to lead a deployed contracting office at the senior level.
