## Overview

Immerse yourself in financial accounting with this two-day intensive course. Designed for beginners, it covers key financial accounting principles essential for careers in accounting, bookkeeping, and other finance-related professions.

 

The course begins with an introduction to financial accounting, exploring the users and sources of financial reports, the different types of reports available, and the importance of following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You’ll learn to distinguish between cash and accrual accounting, gain insights into income statements, key line items, and profit ratios, then move into the specifics of accrual accounting, including depreciation and amortization. You’ll also explore analytical tools such as Trailing Twelve Months (TTM) and Year-over-Year (Y/Y) comparisons.

 

Building on these fundamentals, the course advances to topics such as balance sheet components, cash flow statements, detailed income statement analysis, and handling unusual items. By the end, you’ll have a strong foundation in financial accounting knowledge ready for professional application.
