## Overview

This course provides federal program and project managers with the expertise to design and manage complex IT architectures that align with agency missions and modernization goals. Participants explore enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, and methodologies to develop effective IT roadmaps, integrate agile practices into planning, and evaluate systems for modernization or cloud migration. Emphasis is placed on designing efficient, scalable, and interoperable IT infrastructure solutions that support organizational performance and mission success.

Security and risk management are central themes, as participants learn to embed cybersecurity principles and compliance into IT architecture decisions. The course covers selecting appropriate security controls, developing system security plans, and navigating the federal assessment and authorization process. By applying frameworks such as FISMA, Cloud Smart, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, attendees gain the skills to build secure, compliant, and resilient IT systems that meet both operational and strategic federal requirements.
