Home / GRADUATE SCHOOL USA’S INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE DELIVERS COMMUNICATIONS TRAINING TO THE U.S. AGENCY FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELEOPMENT IN HAITI
Posted on Nov 27, 2018
What do governance, health, and financial management programs all have in common? They each demand effective correspondence and report writing. With that in mind, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) tasked Graduate School USA’s International Institute with delivering specific training in Report Writing and Effective Government Correspondence for the agency’s mission personnel in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Graduate School USA faculty member Drummond Kahn provided training to 34 USAID participants, including accountants, physicians, and financial managers. "Effective communication is critical to both program management and public accountability for these important programs," said Kahn, "and USAID-Haiti's interest in this training helped several offices obtain tools and techniques to best communicate program results to decision-makers."
From disease prevention programs to governance efforts, to the work of finance officials at the USAID mission, the courses reached employees interested in enhancing their communication skills.
