GRADUATE SCHOOL USA DONATES SUPPLIES TO DC PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS

Graduate School USA (GSUSA) is committed to the community in which we serve. In keeping with our commitment, we proudly launched our First Annual “Back-To-School Supply Drive,” in support of our neighbor, Amidon-Bowen Elementary School, a District of Columbia public school serving 350 students, from Pre-K through fifth grade, in the Southwest Washington, DC Waterfront community.

From August 7 - 21, GSUSA collected school supplies such as pens, notebook paper, pencils, highlighters, and backpacks from both GSUSA staff and students. The supplies were presented to Amidon-Bowen Elementary School Assistant Principal Naima Lilly, on Thursday, August 22, 2019, by GSUSA President and CEO Jack Maykoski. “As with many schools, this contribution offers a critical supplement to what the school is able to provide, and goes a long way in helping students learn and teachers teach,” Maykoski said.

As a result of this year’s success, the “Back-To-School Supply Drive” will be an annual GSUSA event, and we are exploring other ways to partner with Amidon-Bowen to help ensure our leaders of tomorrow have the tools they need to succeed. We would like to thank everyone who participated in this great initiative, as we believe that together, we can make a difference!
