In specifications, there are three parts: the General section, the Product section, and Part Three is the Execution section. Within the Execution section, we typically discuss installers, manufacturer’s instructions, examination, coordination, installation, field quality control, final cleaning, protection, and maintenance.
As it relates to this specific section, again, we have the Execution portion. There is examination, preparation, and installation—and you can see here it states: install in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. There is information about sealers, repairing and restoring concrete, repairing and restoring cementitious toppings, stamped overlay cementitious toppings, how to handle surface treatments, stamped concrete, resinous flooring, staining, and finally, protection is discussed.
In the specifications package for a construction project, there are up to 50 divisions. Those divisions have sections and subsections. Within the subsections, specific documentation is created for General, Product, and Execution content.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this overview of project specifications. I’d also like to say that it has been a great pleasure to work with you on this course, and I wish you every professional success. Thank you again.
