Overall, the experience was good. I learned about audits in graduate school, but have not had a lot of opportunity to practice. This helped me know how to recognize a good audit report and how to respond to it.

This training provided me with a better understanding of how to identify fraud, particularly during the disposition phase of grantee personal property management. I recognize that undervalued equipment transfers at the end of a grant cycle are key red flags for asset misappropriation. Armed with these insights, I am better equipped to monitor disposal procedures and ensure our property management remains transparent and compliant with federal regulations.
I really enjoyed this course and was engaged 100% of the time due to the relevance of the material to the work I perform, as well as the clear instructions, direction, and lecture material from the instructor. The smaller class size also helped all team members feel comfortable with presenting and contributing to a collaborative learning environment.

This course is very beneficial for those who are conducting performance auditing. Being able to complete the steps with an instructor, as well as have example cases you can work through, made learning the material easier. Drummond Kahn was very informative and engaging. He has many stories and examples to help you understand the material.
Course materials were extremely helpful, and I've already downloaded them for future reference. Penny Popps was very enthusiastic about internal controls. She personalized as much as possible and was great about sharing personal work experiences, which were relevant to the exercises.
