FAC-P/PM Entry Level Certificate Program
July 6–October 6, Weekdays, 9am–4:30pm

The Entry Level FAC-P/PM certificate equips federal program and project professionals with a strong foundation in the principles, practices, and expectations of the federal acquisition environment. Through integrated instruction across key functional areas, participants learn how to navigate the full project and program life cycle, from defining requirements and planning scope to managing cost, schedule, risk, and stakeholder engagement. The program builds confidence and competence for those working in or supporting Program Management Offices (PMOs) or Integrated Project Teams (IPTs), ensuring that professionals understand how their work aligns with agency missions, statutory requirements, and federal acquisition policy.

This certificate includes four core courses that together provide a complete entry-level training pathway:

• Fundamentals of Project and Program Management – Introduces the federal project life cycle, requirements development, work breakdown structures, scheduling, and risk management.
• Fundamentals of Contracting – Covers the federal acquisition system, the FAR, acquisition planning, contract formation, administration, and closeout.
• Fundamentals of Business, Cost, and Financial Management – Builds understanding of budgeting, cost estimating, business case development, and basic Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Fundamentals of Leading Projects and Programs – Strengthens communication, team leadership, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills needed to support collaborative project environments.

Together, these courses provide the foundational knowledge required for the FAC-P/PM Entry Level certification and prepare participants to contribute effectively to federal acquisition programs and mission-critical initiatives.
