This bootcamp equips government employees with a complete, hands-on foundation in artificial intelligence (AI)—moving from understanding how AI works to using it confidently and responsibly on the job. Day One introduces core concepts, including machine learning, neural networks, deep learning, and large language models, and shows participants how to interact with AI tools to support everyday government tasks such as data analysis, decision-making, and policy research. Day Two builds on that foundation, equipping participants to judge AI output for accuracy and bias, govern its responsible use within federal expectations, and apply stronger prompting and reusable workflows to real, non-sensitive government work.
Through guided demonstrations, interactive activities, and applied practice, participants learn to evaluate AI output for hallucinations, bias, and faulty logic; navigate the ethical, legal, privacy, and regulatory considerations that govern federal AI use; and build practical skills they can apply immediately. The bootcamp emphasizes using AI critically and responsibly while keeping a human in the loop on decisions that matter, and concludes with a verified capstone that demonstrates applied, accountable AI use in a government context.
