This intermediate course equips federal staff and the organizations supporting them to build an agency AI governance and security program rooted in federal AI policy and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
Participants work through AI system inventories and risk classification, data governance and privacy, securing the AI development and acquisition lifecycle, the threats facing machine learning and generative AI, and the testing, oversight, monitoring, and accountability structures that keep AI trustworthy. A capstone draws it together into a working government AI governance and security plan.
