I like that he ran the class in an informal way, encouraging questions and stories from our careers, as well as genuinely wanting to get to know each person in the class. Appropriations Law can be a complex subject, but this class made it practical, engaging, and easy to understand. The professor brought the material to life by incorporating real-world scenarios and examples that connected directly to everyday government acquisition and funding challenges. I left the course with a much stronger understanding of appropriations law and how to apply it in real situations.
Mr. Potts made a normally dry subject engaging. He provided real examples that demonstrated how easy it is to go astray, how to keep ourselves compliant to the law, and what the ramifications of not complying were. He eagerly addressed our questions, instantly understanding what we were getting at.
I recommend this course to HR professionals. If you would like to learn how to calculate SCDs by hand, you will learn to do so by taking this course.
