This 3-day course, facilitated by Dr. Mattocks, combs through the details behind the PPBE Resource Allocation process. This course helps students understand the many moving pieces and each essential element, procedure, and/or ruling critical to the Department of War's Resource Allocation process. It's the best participation-based course on the subject matter I have ever experienced.

The experience was outstanding, I will use the class guide as a reference for my day-to-day work. I learned from the instructor and also classmates. The instructor was inviting and ensured we all participated in the class. I did not feel embarrassed for a lack of knowledge or uncomfortable in speaking to the group.
Brent made the class fun and enjoyable, especially for a subject that may be considered dull by many. He clearly enjoys his job and getting to know the students.

David was very knowledgeable and gave excellent examples - I enjoyed all his war stories. He was also very good at keeping us engaged and participating - I felt comfortable talking and asking questions. Specifically, I felt comfortable guessing when I wasn't sure of an answer, because he created a very emotionally safe environment. The participant guide and links to the GAO Red Book were also really useful.

This training course was exactly what I needed for my position as a Budget Analyst. The materials were sufficient, and the instructor was very thorough. Answered questions and described prior scenarios with knowledge.
This will be something I carry with me throughout my budget career and beyond. It applies in more facets and areas than just budget.

Great experience to explore other elements of a finding and hear from others on their different audit experiences pertaining to their audit areas of work. There is never enough to learn about audit, for processes and policies are ever-changing. When it comes to auditing on any level, you will always have to remain consistent to get to the real root cause of any condition, identify the impact, and offer an effective resolution. Right then, forward as always!

This class was probably one of the single most helpful classes I've taken for travel that I feel is going to help me to assist my travelers better in the future. The Instructor (Bob Simon) was very well-versed in all aspects of Travel and had a wealth of personal experiences and knowledge that supplemented my understanding of some of the more complex issues. I would recommend this class and, especially this instructor, to anyone needing a refresher or for those who are just now starting to learn about Government Travel.

This provides a good background for federal budget. The history creates a background framework for the information. I really enjoy learning it.
Recommend training for new employees who are involved in the financial piece and a refresher for other folks. Different levels of experience spark conversation and learning. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and was able to handle all questions and concerns. Understood and acknowledged that some areas were defined by organizational SOPs.
