Bernice is kind and thoughtful. On my birthday, she posted an online birthday card first thing in the morning to ensure I would see it. Thanks to the instructor’s ability to effectively connect the material to real-world applications—such as FAA balance sheets and guidance from the FASAB Handbook and Green Book—the class gained a deeper, more practical dimension.
Overall, the experience was good. I learned about audits in graduate school, but have not had a lot of opportunity to practice. This helped me know how to recognize a good audit report and how to respond to it.

Showing us the terminology and tools to navigate through all we need to know to do our jobs is invaluable. Giving us real-world experiences, past history, and current events, and emphasizing how to stay out of trouble is something you don't get in a "regular" course. I appreciate that he used every minute of the class time and stayed on extra for any questions.
