Introducing the Integrated Leadership Mindset. The Integrated Leadership Mindset is the ability to bring multiple leadership skills together. When we do that, it results in a stronger and more consistent impact.

Instead of thinking about each of these skills one at a time, we want to consider how they are actually connected behaviors that reinforce each other. The way to do this is to think and act intentionally about those leadership skills. An Integrated Leadership Mindset blends multiple skills together seamlessly. This not only focuses on team and mission outcomes—it strongly contributes to them.

It allows us to adapt proactively and calmly, and it helps us lead—no matter our level in the organization—through influence and trust. So why does this Integrated Leadership Mindset particularly matter for non-supervisors? First, it turns your everyday contributions into potential leadership moments. It can also help build trust and visibility, not only with your peers but also with formal leaders.

It can strengthen team culture through the example you set by having an Integrated Leadership Mindset. As formal leaders see this—because you’ll have more visibility for them to recognize it—it can help create a leadership pipeline within the organization. They can look at you and realize, “Wow, this is someone who has a leadership mindset.”

Maybe they would be a great leader for the future. So it’s going to create opportunities for you to potentially influence outcomes and change.
