All right, so let's look at part two of the Leader Grade Evaluation Guide. And so part two, again, covers two-grade interval work. And so positions covered by part two of the GS Leader Guide lead work in two-grade interval occupations or GS-9 or higher one-grade interval work.

The incumbent of the position must spend at least 25% of their time ensuring that the organization's strategic plan, mission, visions, and values are communicated to the team, articulating and communicating assignments, coaching the team in appropriate problem-solving methods, leading the team and balancing the workload, training team members, monitoring and reporting on status of work, preparing reports and maintaining records, reporting to the supervisor on work accomplishments, approving emergency leave, interceding with the supervisor on behalf of the team, informing the supervisor of the performance management issues. And so in part two, there are 20 representative duties listed. To qualify, the team leader must meet the first seven and an additional seven for a total of 14 of those 20 representative duties.

And so the position, again, must meet the first seven of coaching, facilitating, and monitoring duties, and then a total of 14 of the 20 representative duties listed in that guide. And so again, let's go over the qualifications for part two. They must lead a team of two for a grade interval work.

They must spend 25% of their time leading the team, the highest level of work at 25% of the workload. And so if you have human resources specialists and the full performance level is a grade 12, they must spend 25% of their time leading the highest level of the work of that unit, which will be the grade 12. And they must meet the first seven and an additional seven to total 14 of those 20 representative duties found in part two.

To finish out the requirements, the team member must perform at the highest level of work accomplished by the team. And so if you have a team leader who leads a team of GS-12 employees in the two-grade interval pattern, then their position will be graded at a grade 13, and their title would be Lead Human Resources Specialist. As a caveat, remember that in part one of the one-grade interval work, the part one work leader leads employees in one-grade interval positions up to grade eight.

So in part two, the team leader can lead employees in one-grade interval positions or higher of non-supervisory, non-leader work starting at the grade nine. And so just to reiterate for part two, they're gonna lead two-grade interval work. They must spend 25% of their time leading the team, doing the same level of work, the same type of work.

At the highest level, the work must be at 25% of the workload and must meet the first seven and the additional seven to total 14 of those 20 representative duties. It may also include GS-9 one-grade interval work, which is carried out 25% of the team members' time. And they will be one grade higher than the highest level of work on the team. Their title would be prefixed by lead.
