Deborah Deichman was an amazing instructor with so much knowledge. It felt like she took professional and personal experiences and shaped the course share real and timely examples. Deborah made the course exciting and interesting.

I came into the class not knowing what to expect but left with all sorts of knowledge.

The materials for the course were helpful and useful.

Instructor Dan, from the start, came prepared to teach each enrollee/student. He provided a good student guidelines, and student handbook that was downloadable and available, before the class. The pre-course materials were made easily available via the Government Graduate School Portal. Dan opened the online course on time, and demonstrated a preparedness to teach, and that he did! He managed each topic efficiently, and with enthusiasm.

I came in expecting hours and hours of boring writeup as writing is not my cup of tea. But the experience was fun and relatable; did well in all my exercises. The discussion times were my most favorite moments!

I enjoyed the class! I was not expecting to find each module useful, but I did!

I think that this is one of the best courses that I have taken with the USA Graduate School. This course is priceless!

I found this course very helpful and relevant to my role. It showed me that leadership is not limited to supervisors and that I can lead through accountability, communication, teamwork, and resilience. One of the better virtual trainings I've taken. Others have overemphasized slide deck material and defining terms. While there was still some time spent on definitions, this was more appropriately weighted to providing useful frameworks for approaching challenges and towards spending time in breakout discussions. At 13 participants, it was the right size for being small enough that we all got to know each other and have space to participate while also being large enough to hear from many different perspectives and experiences.

Would recommend this course.

Great Course - Highly recommended!!

I very much enjoyed the many breakout sessions we did throughout the week. It kept us engaged and I really enjoyed hearing others' perspectives and everyone brought valuable experiences and thoughts to share. It helped us all think through the various scenarios.

I learned more about critical thinking than I expected to, and I enjoyed the sessions.

He had a lot of energy and experience. I liked that he had easy to remember anecdotes to remember some of the important concepts. I liked that he did not read entirely from the slides and used real life examples.

This course provided practical tools and real-world examples that helped me see the bigger picture of my role. I gained a stronger understanding of how budgeting, performance, acquisitions, project management, leadership, and strategic thinking work together to support the organization’s mission. I’m leaving the course with knowledge and tools that I can immediately apply in my day-to-day work.

Great Class!

Overall, i had a very positive experience with the course. The training was informative, engaging, and relevant to my professional responsibilities. I gained practical knowledge and useful techniques that i can apply in my work.

I felt like I had a good set of interviewing skills with the class, but I gained a lot from this class as it gave me the opportunity to hear multiple perspectives of how other fellow Auditors conducted their auditee interviews and the practice sessions helped as well. Kudos to the instructor.

I liked the slides especially because I could easily just edit the class material right there with my notes.
